Sorry I’ve been away from my blog for a while. School got the best of me the last two weeks. So far, I got two presentations, two lit responses, one 5 page critical analysis, and take-home midterm out of the way. Today I took a little “break” and decided to post a quick update:
1. The Washer: Broken, repaired, then broken again. Dad and Michael are coming to town on Friday to bring me a new one. Don’t worry, I haven’t exactly missed doing the laundry; and I have put together some very exciting ensembles as of late. (Can’t wait to see you, Michael! Even though I know driving to Starkville to change out an old washing machine probably constitutes as the lamest day of summer vacation ever….)
2. The Cable: I think I have been black-balled by Metrocast. I have been stalking these people since July 2 to no avail. So far I met 5 different Metrocast techs and talked to another over the phone. I gave up for a while out of frustration. Then, I called again yesterday and today. Both times I was told someone would be out to help me. Both times I stayed in my house all day long only to realize that I had been stood up! Right now my channel line up looks like this: ABC, religion channel, NBC, CBS, ABC (again?), Trinity broadcasting network, Starkville TV, Home shopping network, CSPAN, CSPAN2 (really? Is CSPAN2 necessary?). It’s almost comical at this point….
3. So I go to Wal-Mart tonight becuase I need dish soap, and ended up buying dish soap, new body wash for me, new body wash for Matt, and an economy size jug of hand soap refill. Plus, I came straight from the gym. Imagine a sweaty girl with mismatched gym clothes walking through Wal-Mart with her arms full of soap products. IT’S A SOAP EMERGENCY! Oh, man, I laugh just thinking about it!
4. I have discovered a new blog. A blog so funny that I have come close to wetting my pants on several occasions. I don not know this person, but I want to be her best friend. YOU. MUST. READ. THIS. BLOG. http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/
