Dear Clementine, January 19, 2011

Congratulations on your 27 week birthday!  I feel you celebrating every minute of the day.  I mean, sometimes it feels like you are trying to escape.  However, please do not try to escape just yet; you need to stay put for another 10.5 weeks.  Don’t worry–it will be here before you know it.  We have your crib set up in your room, and we registered you for a lot of fun things at Babies R Us.  Daddy went a little overboard; he was clicking every other thing in the store.  Don’t worry, I cut him off after cuddly pink blanket #12.  He also couldn’t resist buying you a board book.  It’s called Olivia, and it’s about a little pig who gets herself into all kinds of mischief.  It is sure to be an instant favorite!

In the meantime, Baby Clementine, be good in there.  And get lots of rest before April 11th because there are going to be lots and lots of people who are ready to play with you!

PS–Also, it is not very nice to kick your mommy in the ribs when she is trying to sleep.  Also, 3 A.M. is not an appropriate time to play.  Please keep this in mind in the coming years….

Clementine January 11, 2011

Everyone keeps asking me if I have been having bizarre food cravings.  The answer is no, no not really.  However, I discovered a new love for those tiny clementine oranges.  I bought a big bag around thanksgiving, merely to be healthy.  But then, I discovered how delicious they were, and began eating several everyday.  One night I was sitting on the couch, watching TV, and all I could think about were those clementines.  So I peeled two to snack on.  But a few minutes later, the baby was like, “Mommmmmmyyyyy!  Let’s eat the whole bagggggggggggg!”  She was promptly sent to bed.

Since then, the baby has been nicknamed “Clementine.”

I’ll admit that its pretty darn cute, and kinda growing on me!

Pregnant Face! January 10, 2011

One of the hardest things for me to get used to is my undeniably pregnant face.  Some say the first thing to go is their butt, or thighs, or belly.  Of the baby weight I’ve gained so far, half of it is in my cheeks (which are actually bordering on “jowls”).  This means that I have been avoiding the camera as much as possible lately.  But then I realized, “Hey!  I’m pregnant!  Who cares!  I’ll be cute again in 6 moths or so.”

So here are some before and after pictures, so you know what I’m talking about.
